During her fellowship at the Collegium Helveticum, Urte Krass will begin work on her project monograph, concentrating on the chapter on European knowledge of burial practices of cultures in Africa, Asia, and the Americas in the 16th and 17th centuries (working title The Deaths of the Others). Together with Associate Fellow Maarten Delbeke, Urte will host a Collegium Helveticum Lecture on the problem of human remains in today’s museums and collections.
