Unraveling Institutional Impact on Artistic Career Development

Informations

Venue & accessibility info: Meridian Hall, Collegium Helveticum

This is a public event. Participation is free of charge. No registration is needed.

The event is followed by a small reception.

The panel discussion seeks to provide a nuanced exploration of Zurich‘s contemporary art ecosystem and its institutions, focusing on artists’ perspectives and needs. It will delve into what sets Zurich’s art scene apart from other highly international landscapes.

Esteemed panelists—representing a cross-section of Zurich’s institutions, including galleries, off-spaces, and grant organizations—will share insights into both the advantages and challenges artists encounter within Zurich’s art environment. They will also highlight existing opportunities that foster artists’ professional growth.

In addition, panelists will present their own projects, reflecting their institutional and personal commitment to supporting emerging artists. This initiative aims to equip artists with valuable insider perspectives, while offering a forum for questions during the panel and encouraging network-building at the small reception that follows.
