Michele Cometa
Senior Fellow 2021–2022

Michele Cometa teaches cultural studies and visual culture at the University of Palermo. He was a DAAD scholar and a fellow at the Clark Art Institute (Williamstown, MA) and at the Italian Academy (Columbia University, New York). His publications on German and European culture, literature, and aesthetics focus on topics ranging from the eighteenth to the twentieth centuries. During his fellowship at the Collegium, he worked on a book on literary autopathographs and organized a colloquium on the double talent of painter-writers.
