Giulia Sissa is Professor of Political Science and Classics at the University of California at Los Angeles (US). She studies aspects of classical antiquity, closely linking them with key contemporary debates, including feminism, sexuality, and the body, as well as political emotions. As a senior fellow at the Collegium, she organized the workshop “The Power of Women: A Challenge for Democracy.”
