Maryna Nehrey (born 1980 in Khmelnytskyi, Ukraine) is an agricultural economist. Her academic research focuses on the development of the Ukrainian agricultural sector, risk management, and economic modeling. In recent years, she has turned to digital transformation in agriculture and integrated assessment of digital technology adoption. Her intellectual curiosity is stimulated by complex issues that require insights from a variety of disciplines, ranging from agricultural economics to digital technology and sustainable development.
Maryna received her PhD from the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, Ukraine. Before joining the Collegium, she was a visiting professor in the Agricultural Economics and Policy Group at ETH Zurich (2022-2023) and an associate professor in the Department of Economic Cybernetics at the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine. Beyond her remarkable research endeavours, Maryna demonstrates a passionate commitment to social and community projects, actively participating in initiatives that contribute to the greater good.
